Alumni Classes Return to Campus for Reunion Weekend
The USC Emeriti Center College and the USC Alumni Association Collaborate in Securing Speakers
This upcoming November 11-12, USC alumni and friends will return to campus to celebrate Homecoming and participate in an array of social and academic activities in Reunion Weekend 2011 for the classes of 1961, 1971, 1981, 1986 and 2001.The USC Emeriti Center College is collaborating for the third year with the USC Alumni Association in securing speakers for concurrent lectures scheduled on Friday, November 11, at 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center.
Speakers include Robert Tranquada, M.D., former Dean of the USC School of Medicine, who will address the participants on Health Care in the U.S.; Erroll G. Southers, MPA, Adjunct Professor of Homeland Security and Public Policy, USC School of Policy, Planning and Development, who will discuss Counterterrorism and Homeland Security; Susan Estrich, JD., Professor of Law and Political Science, and media commentator, who will present Politics and Television: The Unholy Alliance; and USC Alum, Thomas W. Knapp, Associate Director of the Greif Center in the USC Marshall School of Business, who will discuss You, Inc.: How to Create Your Most Winning Brand.
Elizabeth Garrett, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs has been invited by the Alumni Association to present the keynote address, USC Today, Tomorrow and in the Future!
The number of participants attending the Reunion Weekend activities has been growing every year, with over 800 participants this past year. We invite you to take this opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, tour new campus buildings, attend academic lectures, and cheer on the football team.
